Mother's Day Part 2

I can reveal my presents for my mother. I made these two zip pouches and put kits of matching fabrics to make mini quilts designed by Camille Roskelley. I used a mini charm pack to make each zippered pouch.
My mom likes to make mini quilts and they are preparing to go on a motor home trip until the end of July, so these small kits will be travel friendly. We spent the day together quilting of course.
I put together my last two Let It Snow blocks and pieced the whole quilt. Now, I have to get the back ready and pin it for hand quilting. We have had rainy, cold weather which makes me want to hand quilt!
I mentioned to my teenager a couple of months ago that I needed some eye shadow, so she totally spoiled me with this gorgeous palette.
I had a great Mother's Day and I hope you did too!

  1. Just found you from another blog. So much inspiration! I love your patchwork zip bags and your Plus Tote! I downloaded the pattern for the long pincushion -- love that too. I'll be back when I have more time to read back blogs. Thank you! Have a happy week. Florence

  6. I wish I had someone to teach me in person how to make those bags.
I don't do well with reading instructions with pictures or even watching youtube.
    I need hands on.
I have a whole popcorn tin full of 2 1/4 inch squares and that would be something awesome to make.
I also have several zippers laying around too.
