Now that Let It Snow is totally done, I can shift my handwork focus to my Journey of a Quilter BOM.
Here is the first month's block nearly done. I spent lots of time on it today as part of Slow Sunday Stitching. I watched the French Open and stitched away the morning.
I am using my favorite perle cotton for stitching instead of embroidery floss. I love the bright fabrics that are coming in the kits and I am using bright perle cottons too.
I pieced and traced block number two this afternoon. It was a windy day with dark clouds, but not much rain. It was chilly, so I wore cozy sweats which is rare in June and drank coffee all day. I am going to get block number three prepared as well as my Love Blooms Here blocks because I will get lots of handwork done while enjoying the World Cup with my family.
Such a cute BOM and the perfect afternoon sewing. I loved seeing all your perle in the egg carton! Good idea!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful BOM - love the fabrics and colours.
ReplyDeleteThe colours in this quilt are coming together well. Good job
ReplyDeleteYou do a good job stitching the filled in parts such as the flower centers. When I do that, it doesn't always turn out as good as I think it should.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! I am happy to see someone sewing this pattern that I finished last year... just love it! Great idea to store threads in an egg carton!
