I spent my weekend surrounded by vegetables. On Saturday, I canned pickles with my mom and daughter. Then on Sunday, I put my Canasta blocks of fruit and vegetables together. This is the August Another Year of Schnibbles challenge from Sherri at aquiltinglife.com.
These blocks really did not take much fabric and were fun to make. I think I will use this design for a baby quilt in the future.
It is small enough that I feel like I should not bother putting it on the long arm. Any ideas for quilting it? I was thinking of a black and white for the back and seeing if I can get some more of the black and white squiggly stripes for the binding. Please give me your input! Thanks for stopping in!
Love it! I made the same blocks a decade or so ago, 6 inch blocks with blue and yellow baskets and I quilted it with a fluer de le in each basket and a 2 wavey lines through the sashing.

Love the veggie fabric. Not sure how you should quilt it but sometimes I just choose something I want to try out. Good luck!
